Koen Stein is a Belgian paleontologist specialising in dinosaur paleobiology. He works at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences as an educator.
He earned his Masters from the University of Bristol (Bristol, UK) in 2006, and received his PhD from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany) in 2011.
Koen was part of the team that described the semi-aquatic Halszkaraptor escuilliei in 2017.
