Rubèn Cunéo is an Argentinian paleobotanist, and a CONICET researcher. He is the director of the Paleontological Museum Egidio Feruglio (MEF) in Trelew, Chubut.

He was born in the city of Trelew, in Chubut. After becoming a postdoctoral fellow at Ohio State University, he moved back to Trelew and started what would become the MEF in 1989.

Rubèn was one of the paleontologists from the MEF who described the largest dinosaur discovered, Patagotitan mayorum.
