Ignacio Cerda is an Argentinian paleontologist, and a CONICET researcher at the National University of Río Negro in the city of General Roca. He specialises in the microanatomy of archosaur skin (osteoderms) and bones of basal sauropods.
He also works at the Carlos Ammeghino Museum in Cipolletti, Río Negro.
Ignacio has helped describe a number of dinosaurs, and was one of the paleontologists who described the largest dinosaur discovered, Patagotitan mayorum.
