Alejandro Otero is an Argentinian paleontologist, and a CONICET researcher working at La Plata Museum in Buenos Aires Province. He specialises in the systematics and paleobiology of sauropods.
Through his research, Alejandro has helped discover that at least one species of sauropod, Mussaurus patagonicus, was quadrupedal at birth, and bipedal in adulthood.
Alejandro has helped describe a number of dinosaurs, and was one of the paleontologists who described the largest dinosaur discovered, Patagotitan mayorum.
