Hugues Accarie is a French research engineer specialising in sedimentology. He currently works in the Laboratoire de Sédimentologie at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris, located in the Fontainebleau Cédex suburb of Paris, France.
He obtained his Masters degree from the Université de Lille, and earned his PhD from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris in 1987. Through his work and studies, he has travelled across France, as well as Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, and Morocco.
Hugues is part of the team that described Genusaurus sisteronis in 1995.
