Jason Schein is an American paleontologist, and the executive director of the Bighorn Basin Paleontological Institute. He specialises in studying the Jurassic and Cretaceous ecosystems in the Northern Bighorn Basin in Montana.
Jason grew up in Alabama, obtaining his Bachelors in 2000 and Masters of Science in 2004 from Auburn University in Alabama. In 2013, he finished his PhD at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He has field work experience across the United States, Argentina, and the Bahamas. He co-founded the Bighorn Paleontological Institute, a non-profit for research, education, and outreach related to paleontology and Earth sciences.
