Christopher Coughenour is an American geoscientist and a Department Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown in Pennsylvania. His specialisations are in stratigraphy, sedimentary movement in tidal regions, and cyclostratigraphy.
Christopher grew up in Berlin, Pennsylvania. He obtained his BS in Physics in 2004, and his PhD in Geoscience in 2009, both from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He is also an Associate Professor at Drexel University, and studied under Kenneth Lacovera. Christopher was part of the team that described Dreadnoughtus schrani in 2015.
