Elena Schroeter is an American Paleontologist and a post-doctoral researcher at North Carolina State University. She specializes in proteomics, specifically investigating techniques for extracting bone proteins from fossils. She works as an Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University.
Elena was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in 2006 from the University of Chicago (in Illinois), and her PhD in 2013 from Drexel University (in Pennsylvania).
Having been on numerous research expeditions, Elena has co-authored a number of papers related to proteomics, and event helped describe a new species of dinosaur in Dreadnoughtus schrani.
