Lucio Ibiricu is an Argentinian paleontologist, and a post-doctoral research fellow at the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones CientÃficas y Técnicas (National Council of Scientific and Technical Reasearch, in Argentina). His areas of study include the morphology, phylogeny, paleobiology, and paleobiogeography of sauropods of the Late Cretaceous.
Lucio was born in the city of Puerto Deseado, and grew up there. He earned his Master's degree from the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia San Juan Bosco (Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut), and his PhD from Drexel University (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania).
He has helped describe a number of dinosaurs, and through his work has travelled across Argentina and the United States of America.
