Tanaka Kohei is a Japanese paleontologist with specialty in dinosaur egg incubation, the evolution of parental care from early reptiles through to birds, and how reproductive strategies affected dinosaur diversification. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Tsukuba in Japan.
Kohei is from Nagoya, Japan, where he was a teacher and got his Bachelor's degree. He finished his PhD in 2017 at the University of Calgary in Canada.
He has authored or co-authored a number of papers about dinosaur eggs and eggshells. He has also described or helped describe a number of dinosaurs, including Quipalong henanensis.
