Tanaka Kohei is a Japanese paleontologist with interest in dinosaur egg incubation, the evolution of parental care from early reptiles through to birds, and how reproductive strategies affected dinosaur diversification.
Kohei is from Nagoya, Japan, where he was a teacher and got his Bachelor's degree. He got his PhD in 2017 at the University of Calgary in Canada.
He has authored or co-authored a number of papers about dinosaur eggs and eggshells. He has also described or helped describe a number of dinosaurs, including Quipalong henanensis.
