Allosaurus

A Walking With Dinosaurs Special

AKA: The Ballad of Big Al

Category: Documentary

Author: BBC

Life was hard in the Jurassic age, even for a large dinosaur at the top of the food chain. A few years ago, the most complete allosaurus skeleton ever found was discovered in Wyoming. The bones tell a surprisingly detailed biography of one individual dinosaur, Big Al, as he came to be known by the scientists who pieced together his story. The creators of Walking With Dinosaurs have vividly recreated this 15-year story from birth to death using the same computer graphic and animatronic techniques that stunned viewers throughout the world when they saw the original series.

This documentary, as expected, features not only an Allosaurus, but numerous other dinosaurs that would have lived in the same geographic region and timeframe as this specific Allosaurus.
